pinnedbangs | 2nd Struggle [Video] -- Cherrydumb City

[Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo he made it (somehow) to Cherrygrove City! About a week ago!! But that doesn't seem to matter now, right? Rin's feeling good - real good. His arm doesn't even hurt, even though it had been wrapped in those towels 'mom' gave him. Since his early morning arrival a little more than seven days ago, he's seen a Nurse Joy about his arm and gotten himself patched up real good. Now, as of this lovely afternoon's broadcast, he's just taking a walk by the city's sea coast.

And what a lovely view of the sea it is! The pokémon aren't singing anymore and Rin's been itching to get this gym challenge completely underway.

But why is he still in Cherrydumb? And why the seaside? Well...]

No one said this place had dinosaurs. [He should have guessed it would have, since it was based on a video game and all. Rin turns the camera just a smidgen - and there he was, in all of her glory... a large, blue, swimming dinosaur.] The Nurse said it was mine after I threw that pokeball at it. I did the same thing to a bird not too long ago - it was trying to eat Poochy's food.

[Poor Pidgey was still a little mad about being attacked by a pokeball, but it was getting over it! Just, you know, inside of its new pokeball. But that was another story. Rin seems a little unsure as he he poses his next question:]

The dinosaur - Blue - looks healthy and happy but it needs water. And I can't [physically] carry a pool with me [anymore]. ... How can I keep it hydrated while we're going to Violet?

That's a good idea actually I forgot to tell you something important. Your pokémon are going to evolve one day.

I thought I give you the heads up before you started freaking out again.

I can handle this~. It may seem hard at first, but the solution's there!

How can I not freak out in a world like this? [kinda pouting but EVOLUTION SOUNDS FLIPPIN' AWESOME so he's refocusing on that]

All of them are going to evolve? Even Poochy and the egg?

There's not really that much to freak out about but then people say I'm eccentric. [They say a lot of things about him actually most of it not good.]

Most pokemon evoke some don't though it just depends. While I have no clue what is in your egg, I do know poochyena do evolve.

[Is there something Rin should know about Killua...?] Do you normally see creatures evolving on a regular basis?

[While Poochy may be cute, he's not looking forward to bigger bites from her.] Evolution makes sense then, if it's just the pokemon growing up. Blue isn't evolving then, since it's already so big. And this egg won't hatch for a while either.

[If Rin what's to know he can just ask Killua. The brat doesn't hold anything really.]

...I've seen something worse actually. [Not to mention some of the animals back home look like they're fit in pokémon world.]

What kind of pokémon is Blue anyway. Actually there are some large pokémon that just get bigger regardless.

[Rin's curious, but he'll wait for Killua to tell him on his own time. (Or, you know, ask politely). Killua's next words stop him in his tracks. It wasn't something he would have considered, given that Killua was a kid like him. But one never knew...]

...What was it?

I'm not sure what Blue is. It was singing before and... look. [He swings the camera around to show Killua the huge Lapras floating in the waters of Cherrygrove.]

A specie of insect that devour just about anything and they're constantly hungry. They take on the best aspects of the species it eats. Passing them on to the next generation.

[He seems a little unfocused as he say that but shakes his head, as if rid himself of the memories. He decides to examine the pokémon on screen.]

That's a Lapras, they don't evolve.
