At first sight, Poochyena takes a bite at anything that moves. This Pokémon chases after prey until the victim becomes exhausted. However, it may turn tail if the prey strikes back. Poochyena is an omnivore - it will eat anything. A distinguishing feature is how large its fangs are compared to its body. This Pokémon tries to intimidate its foes by making the hair on its tail bristle out.

Poochy is really a sweet puppy under her scruffy exterior. She prefers to show her love with her strong jaws. She knows she could evolve at any time, but she hasn't found a reason to. Poochy is Rin's starter, and as such feels the most responsible for her excitable trainer. She's been with him through thick and thin.

A Pokémon that was feared as a forest guardian. It can read the foe's mind and take preemptive action. Shiftry is a mysterious Pokémon that is said to live atop towering trees dating back over a thousand years. It creates terrific windstorms with the fans it holds.

Acorn enjoys Rin's company. His personal goal is to be as strong as the Shiftry who took care of it and the other seedot in their clan. That Shiftry was erroneously labeled as a "Forest Guardian" by Rin. Acorn evolved into Shiftry during the Forced Evolution Rocket Event. Acorn is confident but is still a little afraid of Poochy. She bites. Acorn is the only pokemon on his current team that is battle ready.

Hatched in Goldenrod City - gift from Yukio

It has a brave and trustworthy nature. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes. Growlithe has a superb sense of smell. Once it smells anything, this Pokémon won't forget the scent, no matter what. It uses its advanced olfactory sense to determine the emotions of other living things.

T-Bone is a cool name and it belongs to a cool looking puppy pokemon. T-Bone may not have blue fire, but its flames were still hot and very useful when on the road without a kitchen. Together, pokemon and trainer tend to spend more time eating and playing than training.

Umbreon evolved as a result of exposure to the moon's waves. It hides silently in darkness and waits for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack.When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it's filled with a mysterious power.

Umbreon is Poochy’s only competition since he is the only other dark pure type pokemon on his team. It was worse when he was still an eevee, when he was her about her size and victim to her taunts. Now that he's bigger, stronger, and a dark type, Poochy's has wasted no time getting him to agree with her. He likes to challenge Poochy whenever he can. Likes to stay by Rin's side.

Its whiskers serve as antennas. By sending and receiving electrical waves, it can communicate with others over vast distances. It uses its tail to absorb electricity from power plants or from outlets in houses, and then it fires the electricity from its whiskers.

Rin intended to take all twelve of them. …He can’t, not without having to put his pokemon into the storage system. Mickey is carefree and laid back. He likes to sleep, eat, and make a nest for himself in Rin’s hair. Often follows Rin everywhere he goes as a wayward passenger. It's taken Rin some time to get used to being a source of constant static electricity. ...Poochy is plotting his demise.

The turning of the seasons changes the color and scent of this Pokémon's fur. People use it to mark the seasons.
His nickname is Naoki but sometimes he's called Cabbage (because, like his siblings, he tends to take food behind Rin's back). Youngest of the pokemon and probably the most mature. Likes to hang out with the older pokemon. (Received as an egg from Apollo)

A very cautious Pokémon, it raises itself up using its tail to get a better view of its surroundings.
Sentwins Carrot and Cucumber - they have other names but Rin's nearly forgotten them by now and the Sentwins aren't concerned. They're more likely to get into small arguments when they're together. Named after the foods they keep stealing from the kitchen. (Received as an egg from Apollo)

CLINGY. Very, very, very clingy. He's sort of derpy but always well meaning. Poochy tends to pick on him the most, much to Rin's chagrin. For some reason, trying to get Saki interested in battling was a huge challenge! (From Nero)

Its well-developed chest muscles make it strong enough to whip up a gusty windstorm with just a few flaps. It spreads its beautiful wings wide to frighten its enemies. It can fly at Mach 2 speed.
Birdie enjoys a good battle and willingly goes along with Rin's plans. He's the most affectionate and powerful of the group. (first capture)

Zorua had transformed into a young boy and followed him about for a short time.

The kid doesn't say a single word. He's pretty suspicious but he also seems to be afraid of his own shadow. Poochy and Acorn already know what he is, but Poochy has convinced Acorn that it would be more interesting for their trainer to figure it out. Rin never did.
