[There's a moment of quiet disbelief before Rin explodes. Did Yukio just -- Ugh. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH. HE MAY NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE PRANKS, BUT HE WILL SURE AS HELL CLEAR HIS NAME. Rin is so mad he even manages to one-up his vocabulary!]
Screw you, jerk! How incompetent do you think I am?!!
[AAAAAAAAAARRGH AAAAAAAAAARGH AAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH -- he -- he -- he has to do something. Like baking! Or taking a walk!! Rin hangs up the phone. If Yukio wants to find him, he'll be in the courtyard.]
[It wasn't long before Yukio finally tracked Rin down to the courtyard and judging by both of their foul moods it would probably be a little rocky to start the conversation.]
Do you remember how we used to always run away to the old park when we had fights?
[Fuck off, bro. ...Is what he wants to say but Rin just watches Yukio as he approaches. Yeah, he remembers. He grunts in response.
Rin is sprawled upon the grass. If he could find a flower bed, he would have tried to hide among the flora, but there was nothing but the cherry blossoms.]
[It's okay bro- there are a lot of things that Yukio needs and wants to say to Rin but there is just never the right time to say them nor are they the right things to say.
Choosing to sit next to Rin and looking up at the sky for a brief moment, Yukio sighed and allowed for his shoulders to slump.]
Is this going to be your new hide out when we fight?
[Well... It's good to see that sarcasm is a thing that wasn't lost between the brothers, but right now Yukio is a bit more concerned with how Rin is doing.]
Not really but perhaps with a swing or something this place could pass as a kiddie park. At lest it would be a small bit of home here.
[... Is there a breeze? Rin pretends there is one. He imagines he is back where he last remembered being home - or close to home. He remembers walking towards an old swing set and falling into it, then --
-- then he's here, in this terrible school. Didn't that happened when he played hide-and-seek? Wasn't he in the halls, bleeding out, in ... in pain ... and then he woke up back in that classroom? Dammit, he thought about it again.]
It wouldn't. [Because that's what happened last time, right? When he played that game? He could of sworn he was back home and maybe Father Fujimoto was waiting for him in the other confessional instead of that - that thing. Rin grits his teeth and wills the memory away. It wouldn't do to think of it now, or ever.]
[Crossing his arms Yukio sighed as he stared down at his brother. Yukio knew what was bother Rin- but he just can't share with him everything. Not now at least- not when he has a second chance to prevent everything from happening and to keep his brother as human as possible.]
And physical things are the only things we can deal with while being here niisan. We don't have Father here to give us prep talks or stories to help guide us.
You know what the old man would say? He'd spout something like... 'by wisdom a house is built'. Like - like we know we're makin' the swing to make ourselves feel like its home.
[But is it enough? Father Fujimoto said a lot of things. He went off about things that existed and things that had no reason to exist other than to scare people.]
But then he'd talk about bread! How's that 'pposed to make sense!
[Yukio couldn't help himself but laugh at the fact that despite the way that Rin usually acted- he still managed to actually listen to what Father Fujimoto had said and to correctly quote him for once.]
Father did a lot of things that nobody but him could understand- and to quote him myself, "we are a hundred years too soon" to question him about his choices niisan.
A hundred years to him, since he's ancient as all hell.
[Rin mumbles in response. Though he doesn't join in Yukio's laughter, he does quip a small smile. It would be easy to continue to mope about. So easy. He could do it too, he was mad enough but...
... but it wouldn't feel right when - when he still had the will to try his best. Even though that old man wasn't breathing down his neck, he ... he should still try to be happy until their dad came to get them.]
What if we skipped the wheel and went right to the bread?

'Course I rinse! Dammit, you think it's easy to do laundry without a clothesline? It's not!
no subject
I am surprised you even knew what a clothesline is.

You see any other place that looks like a run down kiddie park? [That's a yes.]
