[Well howdy-do Johto! This bright ball of teenage sunshine is more than happy to greet the masses. It has been such a long time since he has last seen everyone, right? It - It honestly didn't feel like such a long time, but judging by how Poochy nearly mauled him upon return, he figured it had to have been at least six months.

Oh well! He was here now!

Despite how early in the evening it was, there was nothing that could dampen the force of that smile. Yes, he did look a little drained, and yes that was a mini collection of dedenne perched his head and shoulders. His smile clearly said that this particular trainer was ready to take on the world by storm - a vengeance storm. He points the camera towards the Violet City Gym. Glorious, isn't it? The video's image stays right on the gym as Rin continues to speak.]

It's not everyday that a guy gets a chance to kick some Bird Man's ass. We've challenged this guy before and he kicked my ass three times before I could get a badge. I couldn't have done it without the old team. But Poochy and I are gonna make sure that this is gonna be the fourth and final time, right girl? [ARF ARF!!

Wow, it had been a while... Right. Now or never. Rin takes a deep breath and shouts out:]

This is for Blue and Birdie!! This is for Soba and Saki and Sei!! THIS IS FOR ACORN AND THE BABY ZORUA TOO AND T-BONE AND BROWNIE!!

Poochy, we're going to get the badge back for them!! So Bird Man, you better watch your feathered ass 'cause Rin Okumura and Poochy are comin' in to kick it into last year!!!

[Now, Poochy didn't really like battling. It just wasn't her thing. But there was no way she would back down after that sort of pep talk! She remembered those guys well and she missed the missing ones. And if it meant that they were still remembered by getting that one badge, then she could do it! She would definitely do it!!

The camera swings back to Rin's face. He looks ready for anything.]

We're gonna take on that guy ...tomorrow morning!! After a good night's sleep!! [If his grin was huge before, then it's just brimming over with unbridled excitement now.]

So keep your eyes peel -- uuuuhh open!! Keep 'em open! Wiiiiide open!! For the biggest battle ever! [Oh yeah it was gonna rock!!

But there was one more thing he had to say while he was still out of Yukio's immediate viewpoint. His voice lowers just a bit. He almost covers the video's screen, as if that could really shield the information from leaking out.]

Hey... so, whoever looked after my brother while I was gone? Thanks.

...Well, we can try. [Pops the sleep bubble.] Hey, wake up! [The Litleo looks rather annoyed at Danny for waking him, but doesn't move to retaliate.]

[Dedenne carefully climbs down Rin's shoulder and hops over to Danny and Litleo. I-It's puffing out its cute little chest.]

[Danny sets the Litleo down. He looks rather unimpressed.] Use Ember!

[Leon the Litleo yawns in response.]

[. . . ] Wow you weren't kidding...

Okay then, little guy, use ... something! [Dedenne looks a little confused but OKAY HERE IT GOES. He charges right at Litleo and - nuzzles its face.]

[Litleo snorts and recoils. WTF is this.]

[wow litleo way to be rude!!!! Dedenne is insulted and decides to smack him in the face! Take that]

...Does your pokemon know how to battle at all?

Of course he does! C'mon, Leon! Use Ember!

[Leon does not like smacks! He finally shoots out the small flames!]

S'not doin' much to prove it... --Uwah?! Mickey, be careful!

[HOT HOT HOT Poor dedenne hops around in a panic, trying to get the light on its tail to go out. Oh, but now it's mad! Mad enough to rush towards Litleo for a tackle attack!!]

Yeah! Now use Tackle! [HEAD TO HEAAAD!]

[BOOM! Mickey was too small and on too low a level to hold his own against that tackle. He goes sailing in the other direction, right back to Rin.]

Mickey!! Are you okay, buddy? [Mickey's in the red! Repeat, Mickey is in the red!]

Awesome! Great shot, Leon! [The Litleo snorts a bit of flame in pride. Hell yeah I'm the greatest!]

...That was a great shot... [Wow, Rin really underestimated Litleo... Okay, gotta make sure Mickey was still holding on!]

Are you sure you're okay? [Mickey is in the red but he's not down yet! His cheek are sparking and he looks like an angry little baby thing. He struggles to his teeny tiny feet and -- charges with -- oh!! Rin knows this move!]

Mickey, use Thundershock!

!!! Ah, crap! Hit it with Ember again! [Leon has to charge it up, though, being as low leveled as he is. Mini explosion when the attacks meet!]

[This is it! This is the final attack to decide it all!! Thundershock and ember meet in a mini explosion. The force of it sends Mickey flying back. He bounces onto the ground and doesn't get back up.

Rin rushes to dedenne's side and cradles the little hamster pokemon in his arms.]

Mickey? Can you still hear me, buddy? [Mickey is okay! He reaches out to nuzzle Rin's cheek. With that little gesture, Rin's able to smile a little easier. He looks back up to Danny and nods his head.]

Your little lion is way stronger than he looks.

[Leon's whipped. He barely survived that battle. He flops down, breathing hard.] Hey, thanks! Your little mouse dude is pretty cool, too!

Leon, you earned a huge dinner tonight! [Leon perks up almost instantly at that. After sleep his next favorite thing is food.]

No problem~. Mickey is pretty awesome! And even though we didn't win, I say we make ourselves a treat anyway. What do you say to that, Mickey?

[Mickey's nearly asleep but, boy oh boy would he love a treat! Mickey raises on tiny paw towards Danny for a short wave.

Rin was wrong about Danny. He's a much nicer trainer than he initially thought! He was especially pleased to hear that Danny was going to treat Leon to a good meal for his hard work.]

Hey man, sorry about earlier. ...How about I make that dinner for you and Leon? My treat!

What, really? Awesome! Oh, but I gotta feed everyone else, too. I'm not gonna make you pay for their stuff.
