[Well howdy-do Johto! This bright ball of teenage sunshine is more than happy to greet the masses. It has been such a long time since he has last seen everyone, right? It - It honestly didn't feel like such a long time, but judging by how Poochy nearly mauled him upon return, he figured it had to have been at least six months.

Oh well! He was here now!

Despite how early in the evening it was, there was nothing that could dampen the force of that smile. Yes, he did look a little drained, and yes that was a mini collection of dedenne perched his head and shoulders. His smile clearly said that this particular trainer was ready to take on the world by storm - a vengeance storm. He points the camera towards the Violet City Gym. Glorious, isn't it? The video's image stays right on the gym as Rin continues to speak.]

It's not everyday that a guy gets a chance to kick some Bird Man's ass. We've challenged this guy before and he kicked my ass three times before I could get a badge. I couldn't have done it without the old team. But Poochy and I are gonna make sure that this is gonna be the fourth and final time, right girl? [ARF ARF!!

Wow, it had been a while... Right. Now or never. Rin takes a deep breath and shouts out:]

This is for Blue and Birdie!! This is for Soba and Saki and Sei!! THIS IS FOR ACORN AND THE BABY ZORUA TOO AND T-BONE AND BROWNIE!!

Poochy, we're going to get the badge back for them!! So Bird Man, you better watch your feathered ass 'cause Rin Okumura and Poochy are comin' in to kick it into last year!!!

[Now, Poochy didn't really like battling. It just wasn't her thing. But there was no way she would back down after that sort of pep talk! She remembered those guys well and she missed the missing ones. And if it meant that they were still remembered by getting that one badge, then she could do it! She would definitely do it!!

The camera swings back to Rin's face. He looks ready for anything.]

We're gonna take on that guy ...tomorrow morning!! After a good night's sleep!! [If his grin was huge before, then it's just brimming over with unbridled excitement now.]

So keep your eyes peel -- uuuuhh open!! Keep 'em open! Wiiiiide open!! For the biggest battle ever! [Oh yeah it was gonna rock!!

But there was one more thing he had to say while he was still out of Yukio's immediate viewpoint. His voice lowers just a bit. He almost covers the video's screen, as if that could really shield the information from leaking out.]

Hey... so, whoever looked after my brother while I was gone? Thanks.

What's a bloke got to say to that except "Best of British to you!"? Haven't taken on the gym myself yet... wager I'd wait a bit until my Grim's tough enough to take him on.

Thanks! What's Grim? You gotta train a lot before heading out. Poochy is definitely ready to take on anyone, dude! But these little guys need more training before they can take on an Otaku like Falkner.

[One dedenne happily agrees and chirps along in affirmation. The others... are both upset and -- ...O-Oh noooooo, one looks like it's about to cry...]

[ And the Duskull that's been hanging out on Ron's head peers down so he can get in good view of the screen before waving. ]

[ There's a chirp of confirmation from said Duskull in question. ]

Anyroad, it looks like your friends there seem more'n eager to take up the challenge like you are. Cudos to them then!

Duskull... Huh, looks more like a ghost type to me. [Rin that's not what the guy means. Jeez, even Poochy is staring at you in disbelief.

...Rin wished he could understand what this guy was saying. It was all so confusing ... but at leas the general message came across. The little dedenne all cheer at Ron's praise? Praise. Definitely praise.]

I've only had these guys for a week. If I put them in battle now, they'd get hurt for no reason.

He's a sharp sort! Looks like he can understand me well enough. Wouldn't risk bringing these guys into a gym yet. If you're talking a gym, they're prolly tough after all.

Pokemon understand a lot! Don't even think to underestimate him, 'specially since he's a ghost and all. [They were a cool type of pokemon but Rin didn't put much trust in ghosts.]

They're really tough if you're just starting. Bird Man in there has pokemon in their 30s ... so pretty high compared to the static gang.

Blimey, that's a world and a half higher'n where we are right now... but with proper training and all, I'm sure Grim'll be able to take him on.

[ There's a self assured nod from the duskull in question. ]

Wouldn't think of underestimating this lad. We haven't been 'round quite as long as most but I've seen what he can do. [ And a handmotion toward the Static Gang. ] That lot prolly can handle themselves just fine, too.

Right, I'd... wager a hunch you'd be Rin then? And the Poochyena'd be Poochy... unless I'd gotten that the wrong way round.

Hell yeah they will! -- And they can already~. They have a few electric attacks which are pretty cool. I haven't had an electric one before. And good luck to you, dude~. You got a ghost so you'll have it easy with Bird Man.
