7th Struggle [Action/Video] New Bark Town ... Again
[SUN. BRIGHT, SUNSHINEY SUN. It's so bright, it's almost as bad as getting blinded by snow. But that lasts for only a minute before the gear swings into focus on a face.
A very familiar looking face. Or maybe he wasn't familiar at all and those bright blue eyes, wild black hair, and somewhat sharp teeth were a new and unusual sight.
That person with the familiar looking face had an equally familiar looking Poochyena that had, lovingly, sunk her jaws into his skull. He's dealt with worse before, but he obviously wasn't too happy about his situation.
The Poochyena on the other hand, looked absolutely thrilled to be gnawing on her trainer once more.]
She's been doing this for fifteen minutes... [Fifteen minutes before he was just getting kicked out into New Bark and realizing that he had not dreamt up his time in Johto.]
... How do I make her stop? I can't feel much of my head anymore.

I wouldn't want to catch a Pokémon just so it could become Poochy's chew toy. [Princess, were you really sadistic?!] But I haven't trained a Magikarp yet. It's supposed to evolve into something awesome!
[Oh wow, so not only was Princess Tsubasa really far from where he was, she was also a noob. She must have had a good traveling partner.] They're a lot like us, aren't they.

[ a pretty stubborn and mischievous cat can often make for a good partner. but ohh rin, if you only knew how similar she actually was to her cat partner.. ]
Like me? Oh, I wouldn't go as far as to say that about myself. I actually don't see the similarities! But if you and Poochy are alike, I can assume you must be very loyal to your friends.

[. . . If he knew, he would be second-guessing a lot of things! But, as for now, she was tip-toeing into pretty-princess-with-weird-ideas territory. Prettiness tends to not work in her favor in this mode.
Still. Still pretty. And astute! Nevermind, the scale tipped in her favor.]
I guess you could say that I am! They're important to me, y'know? Can't just find them anywhere.

[ despite her smile, she feels incredibly bitter upon hearing about his brother and that he had friends. he had people he could depend on, people he wanted to see in this place. family who must have cared about him -- her envy was growing, but not once did it show on her face. ]
My friends..? Well, the only person I could think of off the top of my head is a boy named Koyomi Araragi.. he's between tall and average height, has short black hair, and looks like a loner. He tends to act perversely toward elementary school girls, and has an odd sense of humor. I'm sure if you saw him, you couldn't miss him.

I'll keep a look-out for your Araragi! [EVEN THOUGH HE'S GOING TO HAVE A HARD TIME LOOKING SINCE THAT PRETTY MUCH DESCRIBES EVERYONE. Except that bit about perversity.]
Y'know, it's okay if you forget. It's not like I'm expecting him to show up. He's probably locked himself up in his room, spending his life away like a salary man. [Sad shaking of the head. Oh, what a way to spend one's youth, doing homework of all things... Oh! He should start describing!]
His name's Yukio. He's my twin, but he's taller than I am and he wears glasses. Yukio's got these moles all over his face and he acts like a mother hen.
[Nope, not mincing his words. And what do you mean he's doing a bad job of describing his brother... it was a perfect description...]

Thank you, Okumura-san. If he is the type of person who likes spending his time with papers and data, I'll keep a lookout at the Pokemon Centres. They have a job similar to what he might be interested in.
[ there's a small pause, and she falls silent for a minute before resuming. ]
If he acts like a mother hen, he must love you very much.

[Though at the same time he seriously doubts it because Yukio might want to go out for a run or something. Like a simple salary man on a diet.
Her pause gives him a moment to think over the possibility of Yukio actually being in Johto, as odd as it was. But her comment makes him smile, just a little more.]
We're all the family we've got. [The other "family members" won't ever count. Ever.]
