7th Struggle [Action/Video] New Bark Town ... Again

[SUN. BRIGHT, SUNSHINEY SUN. It's so bright, it's almost as bad as getting blinded by snow. But that lasts for only a minute before the gear swings into focus on a face.

A very familiar looking face. Or maybe he wasn't familiar at all and those bright blue eyes, wild black hair, and somewhat sharp teeth were a new and unusual sight.

That person with the familiar looking face had an equally familiar looking Poochyena that had, lovingly, sunk her jaws into his skull. He's dealt with worse before, but he obviously wasn't too happy about his situation.

The Poochyena on the other hand, looked absolutely thrilled to be gnawing on her trainer once more.]

She's been doing this for fifteen minutes... [Fifteen minutes before he was just getting kicked out into New Bark and realizing that he had not dreamt up his time in Johto.]

... How do I make her stop? I can't feel much of my head anymore.

And miracles do happen since he can still hear. ...with some ringing in the back, too, but hey, he could deal with that. Especially because the pokemon that was bouncing about was definitely one of the happiest Rin's seen in a while.

That public display of painful affection was definitely a familiar sight to Rin. And, better yet, it actually seemed like this guy totally understood. Well. He understood biting pokemon. That was more than enough for Rin. Pain? He sees no pain on Domri's face. All he can see is EPIC MAN WITH A TOTODILE ON HIS ARM AND DEALING WITH IT LIKE IT'S NO BIG DEAL.

[He wasn't too interested in Goku-levels of weight training just yet. Maybe later... for now, Rin was just hppy to hear that there were more Totodiles out there. The first guy was already hardcore. This new dude, with his silvery hair and general cool aura was probably just as cool. Probably.]

Last time I tried pulling her off, she got some skin and managed to bite down harder. She wouldn't manage to hurt herself that way?

I tell my Pokemon stories from back at home! Or stories that my dad used to read me...[she sounds a little wistful there. Wow did she really have a moment where she kind of missed her stupid dad? Gross.] She'd probably like whatever you told her about!

[It's reassuring, at least, that most of the people she's run into aren't treating Pokemon like tools or mindless animals.]

You know, I don't think I would know how to treat a pet even if I had one. My little monster cat wasn't exactly like a pet so much as a roommate, and these guys I have with me right now--I've actually raised a few of them from eggs, so...the bond with them feels a lot different than what you'd call a pet.

Unless her teeth are made of titanium, I doubt you've got anything to worry about. Even Pokémon have their limits.

[He chuckles. At least Rin didn't get stuck with something that knows Fire Fang. That would stink.]

But you could always try grabbing her by the jaw and carefully trying to pull her away. Might not be the best route, but at this rate I'd recommend changing tactics until you find something that works.

Oh, yes. It's supposed to evolve into the giant Gyarados, isn't it? Perhaps it would be better if your Poochyena didn't play with it then.. it'd be dangerous if it happened to evolve in the middle of a play date.

Like me? Oh, I wouldn't go as far as to say that about myself. I actually don't see the similarities! But if you and Poochy are alike, I can assume you must be very loyal to your friends.

You get used to pain after a while if you're dealing with it a lot.

[Why no, he didn't actually answer Rin's question. Fancy that. He's from a culture who's philosophy could be described as "The strong survive, the strongest rule." He's pretty much the physically weakest one in the group, so he'd rather avoid looking any weaker if he can.]

Have you asked the Foster Home about them? I doubt you could find your whole team there, but you might find one or two of your old partners.

You aren't going to be New Bark that long unless you're being as slow as usual. Watermelons are still in season, so you can pick one for her while your there.

If you really want to get her off just get think branch and cover it in some berry juice. there are plenty for wild berry around there, so finding the type she likes should be easy.

Of course they do. [ Not that she's bought any for jousting or anything. ]

It has been some time, but I hope you know that if you need any aid in settling back in, that I would be more than happy to provide it.
