[He may have been laughing his ass off a moment ago but all of his earlier mirth vanishes just as quickly as it had arrived.

Rin turns to face Alice, his eyes darting between her angry gaze and the floating kitchen tools.]

[She stalks up to him, eyes narrowing as she slams everything down again.]

How dare you do something like that! People trust you to make their food, and you've lost that trust with this little prank! Just what do you have to say for yourself?

[O-Oh... He hadn't thought of that... He doesn't want people to lose trust in him. Again...]

I-I ... It was only one of 'em! [it is a flimsy argument but he has to say something in his defense...] A-And he's prob'ly laughin' about it too, right?

The fight slowly ebbs out of him and his shoulders slump in correspondence.]

... It's unlikely to be permanent, but you can't just go hurting people because it's 'funny'. Not only is it incredibly rude, but I don't want that behavior to go any further.

...I wasn't tryin' to hurt him. [He hadn't heard of anyone being seriously hurt by wasabi. Maybe Kaneki had a weak constitution? Or worse, he really did have an allergy and only realized it after the fact.]

[Before he allows himself any second thoughts, he take out his phone and leaves a message to that "young man". After he's done so, Rin doesn't bother to hide how shamefaced he is.]

[She listens carefully, and then puts a 'hand' on top of his head, the psychic energy settling down. ]

[She's still learning about this kind of stuff, after all.]

At least for the moment, Alice wasn't angry. That was one crisis averted. ...But it was weird to have her pat his head like he was a little kid. Nice, but weird.]

[The sad thing is that he does like them. The action just reminds him of someone important, someone he can't see anymore. The whole situation seems familiar as well. He doesn't try to piece the similarities together. Rin goes on being a little more standoffish, a little less sentimental.]

'm not gonna get into real serious trouble. I can handle it. ...Thanks though. [not many people said he was special and here comes a pokemon who says it like it's no big deal.]

[She smiles at him and turns to bustle over the stove. Tea makes things better, right?]

[Was it really an odd thing to say? Maybe. Maybe just a little. Rin isn't sure how to feel so he goes for the next best thing. He walks over to Alice to watch her work around the kitchen.]

[It makes her trainer feel better, so maybe it'll help Rin, too.]

[Her trainer is an old man OF COURSE HE LIKES TEA. Rin just happens to like anything made for him. He hovers a little closer to her. He's never seen her make tea before.]

What kinda tea?

Greenleaf tea.

[It's either that or lemon tea, usually.]
