[IT'S EARLY'O'CLOCK. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and LUCKY RIN, the ringer on his 'Gear is going off, piercing the morning air like a bayonet. Assuming he doesn't do what most people would probably do at this hour and ignore it, he'll find himself looking at one (1) Yusuke Urameshi when he checks it. Yusuke is visibly seething, scowling into the screen like an angry bear. That in of itself isn't unusual for him. What is unusual, aside from the fact that he's calling Rin in the first place, is that he is absolutely dripping wet. His hair's loose and plastered against his forehead, and his shirt is completely soaked through. Basically, he looks like the world's most ferocious drowned rat. What on earth happened, and why is he calling Rin of all people...?]

Hey, Botan! Pick up the phone!

[WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Rin isn't one to wake up early. Most of the time it's a miracle he gets out of bed at all. He almost ignores it until he realizes that

a) if it's Yukio he's probably going to scold him for not reacting fast enough or
b) maybe it's someone who might need an ear to rant to at... ungodly hours in the AM.

Rin eventually picks up and stares bleary-eyed into the video screen - there's not much time between him staring and him cracking up a smile that slowly but suddenly erupts into full-blown laughter.]
